To foster leading edge research and provide commentary
To advocate for a positive environment where children can flourish
To collectively be recognised experts for child health and well being commentary and strategic direction in New Zealand
Aims and objectives
Functions
To provide Consortium members with:
A mechanism to deliver a vision of leading improved well-being for children / mokopuna
A strategic context which is broader than the business of individual units
A common brand focused on the broad issues of child health and well being
A strong collective voice for providing commentary on issues which have an impact on child health and well being
A forum to explore synergies and the exchange of skills and knowledge between service units
2010 Objectives
Create and maintain a Consortium network of academic and service delivery professionals with a focus on population health and social policy supported by The University of Auckland, the University of Otago, the Auckland University of Technology and the Massey University.
Communicate regularly to key stakeholders
Focus on presenting and communicating research data to key policy makers, pertinent for policy strategy and development
