Naomi Eisenstadt visit June 2010:
Te Tuia Well Child recently hosted a series of seminars and presentations by Naomi Eisenstadt.
Naomi’s visit to New Zealand was hosted by the Seelye Trust Foundation
Naomi was the first director of England’s Sure Start programme, and the director of the Social Exclusion Task Force working across government to identify and tackle policy barriers that increase the likelihood of exclusion faced by disadvantaged children, families and groups. Over almost a decade she was involved in the move away from fragmented government policies to an integrated coherent service for children and families.
While she was in NZ Naomi presented a wealth of information around the UK policies, practice and research.
